More Info:

Two training sessions on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) are being offered: an initial workshop for first time attendees from 8:30 to 10:30 am with an advanced IPM workshop to immediately follow from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The Initial IPM Workshop, 'How to Make IPM Work for You', will run from 8:30 to 10:30 am and will cover, 'CPS pest control policies & your role', 'What IPM really means', and 'How Pest Management Professionals can help you address pest problems by using IPM techniques'. You'll receive an IPM binder that for reference and to use as a model for making IPM work at your school.

The 'Advanced IPM Workshop' will address two topics: 'Pest Proofing your School Against Rodents' and 'Making Teachers Your IPM Ally'. This presentation will run from 11 am to 12:00 pm immediately following the initial training.

Don’t let mice (or rats) become a problem this fall. By getting to know these furry pests a little better and taking some basic IPM steps you can control rodents. Join Smithereens’ Sara Kantarovich, Entomologist and Educator, to learn what you can do to prevent and eliminate rodent problems. In addition, learn how to talk to teachers (and other staff) about pest control issues in your school. You’ll receive a helpful packet of IPM materials to take with you.
